In January 2025, ChatGPT news and the TikTok ban law in the U.S. were hot topics. Personally, I found Notion Face absolutely delightful, and Photoshop has finally entered the era of collaborative editing.
ChatGPT Adds a Task Feature to Run Custom Tasks at Specific Times
This feature allows users to register tasks to ChatGPT, such as “Tell me the summary of AI-related news every morning at 9 AM.”
You can freely set the timing of task execution. Tasks can be scheduled to run daily, weekly, or even just once—for example, “Tell me an April Fool’s Day topic to surprise everyone at 9 AM the day before April 1.”
More details are available in my article introducing ChatGPT.

“ChatGPT and ImageFX experiment”
ChatGPT or ImageFX. Whis is impressive…? In the end, the really impressive thing is the creativity of the person who comes up with these ideas. This article really made me realize that. It was a great read.

ChatGPT Now Equipped with the AI Agent Function “Operator”
Got me surprised since this was announced soon after the unveiling of the task feature.

Notion Releases Notion Face for Creating Notion-Style Avatars
Notion has launched a website called “Notion Face,” where you can create avatars with a Notion aesthetic.
Simply select parts to create your unique avatar. Fun options like Sazae-san-inspired or Super Saiyan-style hairstyles are also available, adding a playful touch to the experience.
I’ve also updated my article on Notion to include this topic.

TikTok is finally banned in the U.S.
I received a notification from TikTok.

Square has lowered card transaction fees for small businesses
“Square Lowers VISA and MasterCard Transaction Fees for Small Businesses to 2.5% Starting November 1”
It seems this started last September, and I hadn’t noticed. Since the reduction is quite significant, eligible businesses should definitely take advantage of it.
I also use Square, and the process was acutually almost a one-click application.
Belows are the official articles in Japanese.
“Live Co-Editing” Feature Comes to Photoshop!
On January 15, Adobe announced the addition of a live co-editing feature, enabling collaborative editing in Photoshop.
Currently, users can register to test this feature in the private beta program for both the desktop version of Photoshop (private beta) and the web version.
